Abstract

The language issue should be taken into consideration in the practice and research of the Belt and Road Initiative. Responding to the challenges of language competence in “The Road and Belt Initiative”, it is imperative to implement the strategy of language planning, which should be conducted from the perspectives of language functions, language security and language spread for the purpose of planning language competence construction along “The Road and Belt Initiative”.
