Abstract

Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), founded in 1995, has been developing for more than 20 years. From the original 8 teams to the current 20 teams, it has now become one of the most influential and ornamental professional sports events in China and is deeply loved by the public. Beijing Ducks is a veteran Class A team and has won many national league titles, while Zhejiang Lions once won the second place in the National Basketball League. Both teams have great strength and cannot be underestimated. At the same time, in the 2017-2018 season, the two teams faced each other as home and away teams, and the two teams have little disparity in strength. Therefore, by means of video observation and comparative analysis as well as mathematical statistics, this paper carries on a research for the offensive and defensive capabilities of Beijing Ducks and Zhejiang Lions in 2017-2018 season, and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages in defensive capabilities, hoping to play a constructive guiding role in improving basketball training and competition capabilities.
