Abstract

A solar grain drier with a sun drying system and vacuum glass was developed and the corresponding water potential model was established in this paper. It was shown from the simulation analysis of the grain drying process that the moisture content of grain could increase to14.0368% with increasing the drying cycle from the first to the ninth. However, it decreased to12.974% when the drying cycle was increased from the ninth to the twelfths. The optimum grain drying time was 2.57hrs.
