Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Language, Communication and Culture Studies (ICLCCS 2021)
The 2nd International Conference on Language, Communication and Culture Studies (ICLCCS 2021) took place on June 9-10, 2021 in Moscow, Russia. ICLCCS 2021 was organized by the International Science and Culture Center for Academic Contacts (Moscow, Russia) and Zhengzhou Yingchun Conference planning Co., Ltd. (Zhengzhou, China). The event was held online on Zoom platform due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
ICLCCS 2021 covers a number of problems, such as: prospects for the development of linguistics, modern approaches and topical issues of teaching foreign languages, information technologies as a medium of language existence, language as the means of intercultural communication, problems of modern translation studies and other topical issues in the interrelated fields of language, communication and culture.
The 2nd International Conference on Language, Communication and Culture Studies has received 110 manuscripts and 67 submissions have been accepted by our reviewers. This publication uses double-blind review. The results of the conference are presented in this collection of academic articles. The topics of these works are devoted to various aspects of linguistics, computer mediated and online communication, methods of teaching languages, literary studies and intercultural communication: from studies on the problems of teaching grammar of a foreign language to investigation of the interpretation of Tibetan and Indian manuscripts. In the modern world, interest to intercultural communication is increasing. Quite a large number of works in this collection are devoted to the study of similarities and differences in the worldview and behavior of representatives of different cultures and ways to overcome cultural conflicts. The collection also presents works devoted to the modern interpretation of classical works of English literature, which indicates that researchers are trying to offer ways for modern people to realize their place in the world. A number of works are devoted to the study of the influence of media discourse, films, as well as communication on Internet platforms on the formation of mass consciousness of modern people.
Let us express our gratitude to all the participants of ICLCCS 2021 for their valuable contribution to the work of the conference. We would also like to thank everyone who worked hard to organize the conference and prepare the proceedings for publication. Special thanks go to Atlantis Press.
