- Abstract
In cross-cultural communication, the scientific understanding and appropriate use of body language can promote the presentation of sound communication effects. China and the United States are the first and the second largest economies in the world, playing essential roles in international politics and economy respectively. The research question of this paper is to analyze the similarities and differences in body language between China and the United States, and the reasons for the similarities and differences. Literature and Comparative analysis methods are mainly used for the study. The significance of this is to help people make better use of body language in daily communication and public speaking, and simultaneously eliminate or avoid misunderstandings arising from cultural differences in body language.
