Abstract

Synopsis of the Golden Chamber is the earliest monograph on diagnosis and treatment of miscellaneous diseases in China, and is the representative work of “medical sage” Zhang Zhongjing to construct the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment. The chapters are divided by the names of diseases and syndromes. The TCM culture-loaded words represented by TCM diseases and syndromes are simple and full of medical information and literary implications, so it is quite difficult to translate them into English accurately. The author in the disease from synopsis name translation as the research object, by classifying the naming characteristics, starting from the theory of functional skopos theory, analyze the different translators on the translation of the culture-loaded words taken from synopsis method, discusses the English translation of culture-loaded words principle and influence factors, in order to promote the further study of TCM classics translation and foreign dissemination work of traditional Chinese medicine.
