Abstract

By means of XRD analysis, metallographic structure observation, mechanics performance testing and corrosion experiment, this paper studied the influence of solution treatment on structure and performance of AZ91 magnesium alloy. Results indicated that a large quantity of eutectic structures existed in AZ91 alloy under cast condition, and its main second phase was -Mg17Al12; after solution treatment, eutectic structures decomposed, there was certain residue of dissociated eutectic structures, and comprehensive mechanical properties and corrosion resisting property of alloy were somewhat improved.
