In recent years, domestic Internet business has become more and more prosperous. In order to adapt to the development of the new media era, many traditional industries have extended their business to the Internet field. Among them, the most prominent is the financial business. Thanks to the operation of Internet business, the efficiency of financial services has been rapidly improved. However, the rapid development of the Internet has also brought certain practical problems that must be faced.

In order to bring in the latest progress in theory, technology and application in the fields of Internet finance and digital economy at home and abroad in recent years and show the latest achievements, the 3rd International Conference on Internet Finance and Digital Economy in 2023 (ICIFDE 2023) was held in Chengdu, China, from August 4 to 6, 2023, via virtual form. It was attended by about 80 participants from different countries and regions.

The Conference presented an outstanding program of papers covering the most recent advances in Internet finance and digital economy, including Internet Economy, Economic Big Data, Quantitative Economics, Innovation Economy, Green Economy, etc. The papers in this proceedings published by Atlantis Press represent a collection of the invited speeches and other contributions.

At this meeting, we had a comprehensive overview of this fascinating field and of future scenarios thanks to the participation of distinguished delegates around the globe. Professor Tai-Xiang Jiang from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China, performed a keynote speech and shared with us his own research experience and professional view with the report Low-Rank Tensor Modeling: From Image Processing to Stock Movements Prediction. This keynote speech focused on exploring the inherent correlations within high-order tensors. He began by presenting the application of low-rank tensor modeling in the recovery of multi-dimensional images. Through incorporating prior knowledge about these multi-dimensional images, he demonstrated that leveraging such information leads to significant performance improvements. Next, he delved into employing tensor low-rankness for predicting stock movements. By exploiting the invariance of correlations among different companies over short time periods, he proposed a tensor robust component analysis model, which effectively separates the low-rank components, which are subsequently utilized to train an attention-based long short-term memory (LSTM) network for prediction.

We would like to thank the participants, especially those who contributed speeches, posters and manuscripts, for making ICIFDE 2023 such an exciting and memorable conference.
