Based on the Analysis of Chinese Anti-epidemic Propaganda Films

- Abstract
The construction of national identity is one of the most important issues modern countries facing. The anti- epidemic propaganda films not only narrate the anti-epidemic stories of ordinary people and highlight the anti-epidemic power of the country, but also construct the national identity of the audience. Based on the analysis and interpretation of 80 anti-epidemic propaganda films in bilibili, this paper finds that the anti-epidemic propaganda films construct the national identity of the audience through the following ways: reliving the time of crisis, arousing the memory, firmly casting the consciousness of the Chinese national community; publicizing the touching deeds and patriotic discourse, firmly grasping the ideological leadership; highlighting the effective national strength to fight against the epidemic and shape the national image of China in the new era. The ways of constructing national identity of anti-epidemic propaganda films enlighten us that strengthening spatiotemporal memory and constructing identity; using media resources to spread mainstream discourse; blending into national consciousness and shaping national image.
