We are so delighted to announce that 2021 4th International Conference on Humanities Education and Social Sciences (ICHESS 2021) was successfully held on October 29-31, 2021 in Xishuangbanna, China. ICHESS 2021 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Humanities Education and Social Sciences to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Humanities Education and Social Sciences and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Humanities Education and Social Sciences and related areas.

About 300 participants from academic, high-education institutes and other organizations took part in the conference. The conference model was divided into two sessions, including oral presentations and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches.

In the second part, we invited four professors as our keynote speakers. We were very honored to have A. Prof. Marcus T. Anthony, Beijing Institute of Technology (Zhuhai), Futures Strategist at Research Center for Greater Bay Area Higher Education and Cultural Policy Unit, China as our first keynote speaker. He performed a speech: Education, Artificial Intelligence and Embodiment in the Age of Machines. The second keynote speakers, A. Prof. Cunping Yun, Department of Arabic Studies, Northwest Minzu University, China. He presented an insightful speech: A brief introduction of the development of Matulidi school’s theological thought in China. Prof. Carlotta Viti, Research Center for History and Culture, Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai Campus) & UIC. She performed a speech: The use of language variation and stylistic variation in literary texts. Our finale keynote speakers, Prof. Nadeem Akhtar, School of Urban Culture, South China Normal Uni.

We are glad to share with you that we received lots of submissions from the conference and we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewed them. These papers feature following topics but are not limited to: Education, Management, Social Sciences, Culture, Sports, Law, Politics, Psychology, Communication and other related topics. All the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of International publication standard.

I would like to express special gratitude to members of the conference committee and organizers of the conference. I would also like to thank the reviewers for their valuable time and advice which helped in improving the quality of the papers selected for presentation at the conference and for publication in the proceedings.
