Abstract

Through the A company footwear assembly line for field research, we find that there are lots of problems in the assembly line, such as a large number of work-in-process inventory , the process of assembly line is imbalance and many other issues. We choose one of the needle car assembly line and analyzes the present situation of the assembly line, and measures the standard time of the operation. We study the bottleneck process and use the Witness simulation software to model and simulate the assembly line, and analyzes the clogging link and the low utilization rate of each process, we improve its bottleneck, reduce the operating time, the decomposition of the station reorganization of the process to make the rhythm of the same. In the end, the result of the simulation verify the optimization effect, and we compare the relevant parameters before and after the balance, the assembly line is improved obviously, and reduce the cost of the enterprise.
