The International Conference on Engineering Research, Innovation, and Education (ICERIE 2025), hosted by the School of Applied Sciences and Technology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh, was successfully held from 24th to 26th April 2025 in Sylhet, Bangladesh. The conference successfully brought together a diverse community of academicians, scientists, engineers, researchers, and industry professionals, fostering the exchange of knowledge, sharing cutting-edge research findings, and discussing practical challenges and innovative solutions in the fields of science and engineering.

ICERIE 2025 provided a global platform for presenting, discussing, and disseminating innovative ideas and recent advancements across a broad spectrum of scientific and engineering disciplines. The conference covered four key thematic areas:

• Civil Engineering, Environment, and Architecture
• Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics
• Chemical, Food, Petroleum, and Mining
• Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering

The program featured 10 distinguished plenary lectures, 92 oral presentations, and 7 poster presentations, offering a comprehensive and engaging forum for learning and collaboration. We are also pleased to announce that 92 papers were selected based on merit from a highly competitive pool of submissions presented at ICERIE 2025. These papers were carefully evaluated by our program committee and external reviewers, who assessed each submission for its originality, rigor, and contribution to the respective fields of science and engineering. The selected papers reflect the cutting-edge research and innovative ideas that are shaping the future of engineering and technology across various disciplines.

These selected papers are published in a special issue of Advanced Engineering Research, offering authors the opportunity to further disseminate their findings to a wider academic and professional audience. This publication not only extends the reach of their work but also enhances its impact by making it available to researchers, practitioners, and industry experts worldwide. It is our belief that this special issue will serve as an important resource for advancing knowledge and inspiring future collaborations within the global engineering community.
