Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the knowledge cluster, dimension and knowledge map of human resource management in the world and the research trends in this period. The method is applied to citation analysis, co-citation analysis, multivariate statistical analysis and literature social network analysis. The sample data was taken from the WoS database between 1966 and 1999 with 716 references and 22,251 references cited. The results show that: (1) There are mainly seven sub-subjects in contemporary human resource management, in which cluster 4 is the main axis to radiate outward, forming a strong discipline that spans each other and promotes the community to grow larger; (2) The most active and important core cluster of human resource management includes the development of human resource management theory, employee competitive advantage, competitive advantage of company resources, flexible work organization, organizational commitment, organizational behavior and organizational learning; (3) Management, psychology applied, industrial relations & labor, business and public administration are the top five most important disciplines related to human resource management in this period; (4) The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India are the top five major contributors to the period.
