Abstract

Changbai Mountain is the birthplace of Manchu culture, and is rich and colorful in intangible cultural heritage of Manchu people. Traditional shooting and recording methods can no longer meet the protection and inheritance demands of intangible heritage in the new media era. This article summarizes the production of animation short films to highlight the practical process of the charm of intangible cultural heritage of Manchu nationality. Also, this article discusses the role of carrier form, original content, traditional printmaking, paper-cutting, embroidery and other artistic expressions in the creative process in integrating the elements of Manchu intangible cultural heritage and gathering the spiritual power of the Manchu people in Changbai Mountain. It is hoped that the creation of animation short films will gradually become a new way to inherit and protect Manchu intangible cultural heritage in the new media era.
