Abstract

Flower-like 3D TiO2 microspheres with hierarchical structure are fabricated via a facile solvothermal approach in a solution of N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) with the addition of diethanolamine (DEA). The microspheres with the size of 200-300 nm are composed of TiO2 nanosheets. The influence of reaction time has been studied in detail. The possible formation process of the hierarchical TiO2 microstructures is discussed on the basis of time-dependent experiments. When used as photocatalyst, as-prepared TiO2 sample exhibits highly improved activity.
