Abstract

The electrical performance and mechanical properties of nearly 200 composite insulators operating in the power grid for over 5 years are tested, to grasp the current running state of composite insulators, While statistical analysis of their regional type, age, process and so on,the correlation between the degradation of the composite insulators and the boundary conditions is obtained by means of experimental results and statistical methods.
