- Abstract
The current stage of globalization development is revealed in the context of its complexity and multidimensionality. The historical prerequisites, which have prepared the world for the global state, are investigated. Socio-cultural transformations initiated by the global processes are discussed, and their contradictions and costs are revealed. By the example of the phenomenon of “structurally superfluous man” the problem of the exclusion of the marginalized from the currents of modern (global) life is considered. The question of alternative models to globalization is raised.
