Abstract

Guyuan dialect belongs to a dialect branch of Qinlong district in the mandarin of central China. Compared with Putonghua, there are many special expressions of aspect category in this dialect. Through investigation and analysis, it is found that there are nine kinds of aspect categories in Guyuan dialect: ingressive aspect, preparatory progressive aspect, ongoing progressive aspect, durative aspect, perfective aspect, finished aspect, experiential aspect, revertant aspect and connective aspect.
