- Abstract
Based on the definition of children's outdoor activities in residential areas, the relationship between residential areas and children's outdoor activities and the significance of outdoor activities to children are summarized. Problem-oriented, it clarifies the deficiencies in children's outdoor activity space design at the present stage, and reconsiders their real needs for outdoor activity space from the perspective of children. This paper summarizes the relevant theoretical research on the outdoor activity space of children in residential areas at present, and analyzes the design methods from the perspectives of site design, green design, recreation and architectural sketch design, in order to provide useful enlightenment and guidance for relevant theoretical research and design practice.
