- Abstract
After 30 years of reform and opening up, China has achieved rapid economic growth. However, the national income gap is showing a growing trend. There are large income inequalities among regions, urban and rural areas and industries. In fact, the income gap is a worldwide problem, which exists to varying degrees in both developed and developing countries. This paper analyses the income distribution of the residents in the major developed countries from the macro and micro levels and puts forward the general direction for the adjustment of income distribution in China. The macro aspect should be inclined to the residents and the micro aspect should narrow the income distribution gap.
