- Abstract
The authors present culturological interpretation of a piece of sacred art as a research on the cultural traditions determining creation of a piece of art. The authors distinguish a number of such traditions as esoteric, elitist, professional, folk, mass, and the tradition of churching. The researches also describe sociocultural significances of a piece of sacred art which determine its value for society.
