The progressive development of Communication and Informatics provides many opportunities to take advantage of its usefulness. This development is interesting to observe in various disciplines, including perspectives from the fields of social sciences, humanities, and technology.

For that reason, the International Conference on Community Empowerment and Engagement (ICCEE 2021) is held as a forum to facilitate academics to exchange and add innovative, up to date, impactful ideas and knowledge. The theme of the conference in this year is "Innovation and Development in Communication and Informatics to Contribute Country Development.

ICCEE 2021 provides with various scientific studies that are divided into several sessions such as Journalism and political communication, Digital media literacy, Public relations in the digital era, risk and crisis communication, Humanism, gender and cultural studies, and Society development & social change.

ICCEE 2021 has been hosted by Faculty of Communication and Informatics, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta on 21 December 2021. ICCEE 2021 is part of International Summit on Science Technology and Humanity (ISETH) 2021, which is organized by Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. ICCEE 2021 has provided 2 keynote speakers and 34 presenters who had brought many important knowledge from their recent research. Thus, it is hoped that this conference can give contribution to the development of the country in accordance with the main theme of ICEE this year.
