- Abstract
The International mandate for sustainable development has brought green governance to the forefront as a transformative approach to address environmental challenges through bio-based policies. This paper explores the critical gap in effective policy frameworks that support both ecological integrity and sustainable economic growth. Employing comparative policy analysis and regional case studies, the study evaluates the effectiveness of various green governance models and bio-based approaches. Key findings reveal measurable impacts, including a 15% increase in renewable energy adoption in leading indian states, significant progress in biodiversity conservation efforts, and notable regional disparities in policy implementation. Challenges such as infrastructure gaps, inconsistent enforcement, and socio-economic inequalities are identified as barriers to progress. The study underscores the potential of tailored policy frameworks, public-private partnerships, and community engagement to bridge these gaps and promote environmental sustainability. Recommendations focus on enhancing bio-based policy integration, fostering collaborative governance, and aligning initiatives with the united nations sustainable development goals (sdgs). This study contributes to actionable insights for advancing sustainable environmental governance.
