The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Strategy on Corporate Financial Performance—An Empirical Analysis Based on Listed Companies Panel Data

- Abstract
Through the statistics of 140 annual reports of board reports of 20 listed companies in the automobile manufacturing industry in the past seven years from 2013 to 2019, this paper finds that listed companies in the automobile industry generally pay attention to keywords such as “artificial intelligence”, “new energy” and “automation”. This shows that the management of listed companies generally believes that artificial intelligence is the development trend of the future industry. Further research investigates whether there is a relationship between corporate financial performance indicators (ROA and ROE) and corporate strategy by using the financial indicators of selected 20 listed companies. The results of the study show that there is a significant positive correlation between AI and ROA. In addition, there is a significant positive correlation between AI and ROE. Therefore, artificial intelligence can be placed in an important position in future company strategies, and the development of artificial intelligence strategies can effectively improve the company’s financial performance.
