Abstract

This paper introduces the basic principle of EPON and discusses the feasibility of EPON applied in distribution automation system from the aspects of transmission ability, reliability, security, expandability and economical efficiency. Based on analysis of the structures commonly ap-plied in distribution network, a construct-ing scheme is designed to solve the com-munication access problems in distribu-tion automation system.
