Abstract

Jaranan Senterewe art is a form of popular dance. This paper seeks to examine Jaranan Senterewe Turangga Wijaya in textual and contextual studies. These two studies are inseparable because each of them has an interrelated structure. This study uses a qualitative method along with an ethno-coreology approach. The data collection uses observation, interview, documentation, and combined techniques (a triangulation). This art textually analyzes and explores a relationship between each element as viewed in a performance structure. From a contextual perspective, the social structure of the supporting community is closely related to socio-cultural values ​​and symptoms.
