Abstract

In this paper, a new nature-inspired optimization algorithm, based on the prevalent mechanism of infectious diseases, called Hybrid Infection model optimization Algorithm HIA , was designed. The HIA algorithm mimic the transmission mechanism of infectious diseases, needs neither the gradient information nor the continuity of the search space. The comparison testing results of were showed that the new HIA optimization algorithm could works more efficient than some optimization algorithms in some cases.
