2nd International Conference on Advanced Materials & Devices for Futuristic Applications-2024 (IC-AMDFA 2024)
Conference Name: Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Advanced Materials & Devices for Futuristic Applications-2024 (IC-AMDFA 2024)
Date: 4-5 October 2025
Location: Mohali, India (Hybrid)
Website: https://www.cuchd.in/icamdfa-2024/ The 2nd International Conference on Advanced Materials and Devices for Futuristic Applications (IC-AMDFA-2024), held on 4–5 October 2024 at Chandigarh University, Punjab, India, brought together an international community of researchers, academicians, scientists, and industry professionals to deliberate on contemporary developments in advanced materials and emerging device technologies. The conference was organized by the Department of Physics, University Institute of Sciences, in collaboration with Concordia University, Edmonton and supported by DST-ANRF in a hybrid format, thereby ensuring broad global participation and enabling an inclusive platform for scientific exchange. IC-AMDFA-2024 aimed to provide a comprehensive forum for presenting the latest research outcomes in the development, characterization, and application of advanced functional materials. The thematic scope of the conference covered a wide range of areas, including nanomaterials, functional and smart materials, ceramic materials, energy materials, biomaterials, thin-film and coating technologies, photonic and optoelectronic devices, wearable and flexible electronics, and nanoelectronic systems. By integrating contributions from physics, materials science, chemistry, and applied engineering, the conference underscored the interdisciplinary nature essential for addressing technological challenges in energy sustainability, healthcare, environmental resilience, and next-generation smart materials. This proceedings volume consists of a curated selection of full-length articles that underwent a peer-review process consistent with Springer’s standards for academic quality. These contributions provide valuable insights into current trends and emerging directions in materials science and smart materials. The editors extend their profound appreciation to all authors for their scientific contributions and to the reviewers for their constructive and timely evaluations. We also acknowledge the distinguished keynote and invited speakers for enriching the conference with their expertise. The dedicated efforts of the organizing committee, advisory board, and technical support teams were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution and success of IC-AMDFA-2024. It is our hope that this volume will serve as a useful reference for researchers, practitioners, and students engaged in the study and advancement of advanced materials and futuristic device technologies. We believe the ideas and results presented herein will stimulate further investigations and foster new collaborations across academia and industry.
