Abstract

In order to increase engineering quality and lower engineering costs, novel scenarios involving the integration of BIM technology and engineering costs can be realized. Examples include sharing engineering cost data and information and managing dynamic controls. As a result, this paper analyzes and summarizes the shortcomings of the fire station project's whole process cost management as well as the benefits of BIM as they relate to the current state of the fire station project's whole process cost management. Using the fire station project in Shenzhen as a case study, it describes the specific applications of BIM technology in the project's decision-making, design, construction, and completion stages. This serves as the foundation for similar fire station projects to carry out the full process cost management practice of BIM.
