Abstract

Many studies have explained both motivation and employee engagement, however, very few studies explained the relationship of employee engagement towards motivation using perspectives from self-determination theory. The aim of the research is to explain the motivation that seen from perspective of self-determination theory by linked it to the employee engagement. This research use 69 samples who are employees in a company who served installation for telecommunication equipment. Using Partial Least Square, result from this research show the influence of self-determination theory towards employee engagement is very high.
