Abstract

Seam tracking ability is a key for automatic laser welding system. The status of laser welding seam tracking technology is introduced in this paper. The principle and characteristics of the sensors particularly vision sensors used in the automatic laser welding are analyzed. Some control algorithms of automatic laser weld seam tracking system are also discussed.
