Abstract

Solar energy is a new pollution-free energy of maturetechnology andabundantreserves. This paper firstly introduces the concept and characteristics of the solar power, and then analyzes the necessity and feasibility of its applications in rural areas. Finally, this paper gives three examples of the applications of solar power in the rural areas, which are sewage treatment, heating system and greenhouse cultivation in order to providesome references for the related researchers.
