Abstract

Poetry is regarded as the most difficult text to be translated and considered untranslatable to some extent. Thus, translators’ subjectivity is an very important factor in the process of translating, converting the untranslatability into translatability. This paper is about to discuss how a translator deals with the untranslatability of classical Chinese poetry when translated into English, concerning the language features, form and content.
