Abstract

Based on the temperature data of a post-tensioned continuous concrete box-girder bridge monitoring during concrete hydration, numerical analysis of the temperature in the different positions of the concrete box girder section was systemically carried out to extract the max temperature difference. A numerical analysis method for predicting the extremism temperature of concrete box-girder was proposed. The results show that a large temperature difference between inside and outside concrete occurred in the course of hardening of concrete. When estimating the temperature difference in concrete box-girder construction, the temperature difference must be considered.
