Proceedings of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Young Engineers of the Fuel and Energy Complex: Developing the Energy Agenda of the Future" (EAF 2021)

The international scientific and practical conference "Developing the Energy Agenda of the Future" (EAF-21) is considered successful, and its topics are extremely important for the development of Russian and world science. There is significant contribution of the conference to the development of the latest achievements in the energy sector, as well as its socio-economic applications.

At the conference for representatives of the community of young engineers in the fuel and energy complex, Russian and foreign scientists made 85 reports. The 39 best papers were selected to be published by Springer. The geography of EAF-21 covered 7 countries: Denmark, Canada, China, Finland, Poland, Brazil and Russia. The conference was attended by representatives of such companies as “Gazprom Neft” PJSC, “Noyabrskenergoneft” LLC, “Zarubezhneft” JSC, “Tatenergo” JSC, “NLMK” PJSC, “Rosseti” PJSC, the RosAtom Corporate Academy and etc., as well as representatives of science university in the regions of Russia such as Saint-Petersburg State Electrotechnical University «LETI», Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Ural Federal University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Kazan State Power Engineering University, Bratsk State University, MPEI NRU, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, St. Petersburg Mining University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Omsk State Technical University.

At the plenary session of the conference, generalizing analytical reports were made, defining the main areas of work of EAF-21 and the achievements of its participants in promising areas of development of the world energy.

The reports of the participants were devoted to regional energy systems, green energy, energy efficiency, treatment facilities, modern energy storage systems, power electronics and systems, new materials, automation and control, bioengineering, energy supply systems and energy economics, technological entrepreneurship, sustainable development strategies of companies, innovations energy regulation, energy market financial models, energy marketing, supply chain and business continuity management, risk and human resource management in a global energy transition, modern teaching methods, transformation of human resource management and energy company infrastructure to support decision making focused on the consumer, strategies for competitive leadership in the energy sector, attracting personnel for the energy of the future, in-demand competencies of specialists in the energy sector, building teams for managing energy companies' transformation projects, building a responsible employer brand, telecommunications systems, big data and the Internet of Things, digital signal processing, digital security, data and networking, data storage and analysis, embedded systems, corporate resource management systems, intelligent systems.

The international scientific and practical conference "Developing the Energy Agenda of the Future" for representatives of the community of young engineers in the fuel and energy complex (EAF-21) attracted more than 350 participants, formulated new scientific approaches, and substantiated the need for their development.
