Abstract

Higher vocational students generally have a weak foundation in English and low learning enthusiasm. The application of English video materials in higher vocational English teaching can make up for the dullness of textbook-only teaching. Integrating English video materials close to students’ study and life into classroom teaching enriches teaching scenarios, exposes students to an authentic native language environment, further stimulates their enthusiasm for language learning, and improves their comprehensive ability to use English.
