The Conference on Applied Linguistics is an annual conference held by the Language Center of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in collaboration with the English Education Department and Indonesian Applied Linguistics Association (ALTI). This year, the Eleventh Conference on Applied Linguistics (CONAPLIN 11) has been held on 27-28 November 2018, in Banana Inn Hotel, Bandung, Indonesia. Under the theme “Trends and Challenges in Applied Linguistics”, this conference aims to bring together academic practitioners, university lecturers, and students, independent scholars and researchers to share and exchange the knowledge, practices, and research results on areas related to current issues in applied linguistics. CONAPLIN 11 also provided a forum for language teachers to present and discuss practical challenges, as well as potential solutions to issues in their practices in teaching languages other than English.
