Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Civil, Materials and Environmental Sciences
Aiming to learn about the latest development and situation in all aspects of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development and to understand the advances in it, we organized the International Conference on Civil, Materials and Environmental Sciences (CMES 2015). CMES 2015 was held on March 14-15, 2015, London, UK. This conference was a great gathering for all the participants. And it will do much good for all of us.
Energy Science is of vital significance to the development of all industries and us, human beings. There are a number of topics related, which include Development and Utilization of Solar Energy, Development and Utilization of Wind Energy, Nuclear Energy Engineering, Energy-saving Technology, Energy Materials, Energy Chemical Engineering, Energy Security and Clean Use, New Energy Vehicles, Green Building Materials and Energy-saving Buildings, Energy Equipment and so on. Environment science is a multidisciplinary field that involves physical, biological and information sciences in the study of the environment and the solutions of environmental problems. It provides an integrated, quantitative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the environmental systems. The related areas of the study include environmental studies as well as environmental engineering. Sustainable development is a process for achieving sustainability in any activity that uses resources and where immediate and intergenerational replication is demanded. Sustainable development coincides with further economic growth and human development in the developed economy (and society) for finding the means of continual development beyond economic development. It is a process that envisions a desirable future state for human societies in which living conditions and resource-use continue to meet human needs without undermining the "integrity, stability and beauty" of natural biotic systems.
CMES 2015 provides a good chance for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progresses in the area of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development. This conference will bring together the researchers from academia and industry as well as practitioners to share ideas, problems and solutions relating to the multifaceted aspects of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development.
We have gained active responses in the preparation of the conference from people all over the world. And we have received a great many papers from the enthusiastic authors. The accepted papers are grouped into following topics:
1. Energy Science and Technology
2. Environmental Science and Engineering, Motivation
3. Electrical Engineering and Automation
4. The Development and Utilization of Resources
5. Theory and practice of Sustainable Development
6. Computer Applications and Information Technology
7. Education and Training
8. Mechanical Design and Materials Processing
9. Physics and Electrical Systems
10. Financial and Other
Here we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the sponsors and support committees of this conference. Thanks for their powerful support and great help to the gathering. Also our many thanks go to the authors and editors who have spent days to work hard with the papers and relevant stuffs. And we ca not appreciate it more for all the working groups’ energy and attention and hard work for this international conference! We wish it a wonderful success!
