Abstract

This paper presents an approach to color recognition using C4.5 decision tree algorithm. Before being employed to identify the color, the C4.5 decision tree is trained with sample images under scenes of varied background and illumination. The experimental results show the effectiveness and robustness of the method for color segmentation under the changing environments.
