Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peer-to-peer lending and e-money on Indonesia’s economic growth. This study uses a quantitative approach using quarterly time series data from 2018 to 2021 in the form of Indonesia’s economic growth rate, loan distribution through peer-to-peer lending, and E-money transaction values. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square model. The results of the study show that the peer-to-peer lending variable has a positive influence on Indonesia’s economic growth. Meanwhile, the e-money variable has a negative influence on Indonesia’s economic growth. Meanwhile, through simultaneous testing, it was found that peer-to-peer lending and e-money variables jointly affect Indonesia’s economic growth. These results indicate that the rapid development of peer-to-peer lending accompanied by the development of e-money will have a positive impact on Indonesia’s economic growth.
