Abstract

This research describes improvements in Javanese language and culture that relate to the meaning and meaning of culture in traditional Javanese games. Research data is in the form of lingual unit data related to language and culture. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, which describes the language of data with portraits in the field. The results showed that traditional games, such as kreklek, dakon, and stilts were more beneficial than in gadgets. Traditional games are more educational, healthy, can be a medium of physical learning, are activated by children's mental development, and introduce local culture to children. The forms found were monomorphemic, polymorphemic and phrases, while the cultural meanings were related to the mindset and culture of the adherents.
