Proceedings of the 2016 International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Simulation and Modelling
On May 28 and 29 2016, the International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Simulation and Modelling (AMSM2016) was held in Beijing, the capital city of China. It has aroused much attention among scholars and researchers in the related fields.
Applied Mathematics, Simulation and Modelling are subjects of great importance in scientific studies. They can not only provide theoretic basis for other researches, but also serve as a tool to test new theories and ideas. This conference, by providing an exchange platform where the latest research achievements by world renowned scientists in these areas are presented, will be beneficial both to its participants and other researchers and scholars sharing the same interest.
Several months before the conference opening, we have started to call for papers for the conference proceeding. Gratifying results have been achieved that 398 papers have been received by the end of the submission deadline. However, we have a standard reviewing process to ensure the high quality of the papers. Consequently, only parts of the submissions were accepted for the conference, at 26.13% acceptance ratio.
We have a reviewing group assigned by the conference committee. In the reviewing process, one paper is reviewed by at least two reviewers with both the author and reviewers being anonymous. The paper will be accepted when the two reviewer both identify with it. The paper will be reviewed by the third person if without two-side recognition. In the end, 104 papers with high quality are accepted in this book, which is divided into four chapters:
Chapter 1: Applied Mathematics and Statistics Analysis
Chapter 2: Computational Methods, Algorithms and Mathematical Modeling
Chapter 3: Complex Systems Modelling and Simulation
Chapter 4: Simulation Tools and Platforms
Lastly, I would like to give my appreciation to the organizer and the publishing house--Atlantis Press. Also, we are grateful to the authors who paid much attention to the conference. It is a privilege for us to have this opportunity to work with these outstanding people. We are looking forward to cooperating with them again in the future.
