- Abstract
Model predictive direct power control (MPDPC) is one of the effective control strategies of the three phase inverter. However, a high sampling frequency is usually needed to realize the quick power tracking, which causes unnecessary switching loss. Frequency reduction-based MPDPC with single-cost function can limit the switching actions effectively. But it is difficult to choose a suitable coefficient. This paper proposes an improved frequency reduction-based MPDPC with multi-cost function, which can reduce the switching frequency and ensure the stability of power tracking at the same time. The proposed strategy was verified by simulation and experiment.
