Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the space-time development of settlement system in the European part of Russia in the basins of the main rivers. The model developed by the authors shows the role of the river network in the formation of the historical structure of the settlement system. The special case is considered on the example of the Voronezh region. Perspectives and issues of improving the resettlement system are identified.
