Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the contribution of learning motivation, learning media, students reading ability to students’ learning outcomes in social science. This study used a quantitative approach with research variables including learning motivation, learning media, and reading ability. The research respondents were 90 students, selected using the total sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of an independent variable questionnaire and the results of the students’ daily tests. Data analysis was performed using multiple regression analysis, classic assumption tests and hypothesis testing. The results showed that learning motivation, learning media and reading ability had an effect on student achievement in social science (99.8%). Teachers should be able to increase student enthusiasm and motivation in learning through the provision of learning media and books.
